In our guitar classes for beginners, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of music through the guitar. They will learn the basics of open chords, strumming patterns, and finger exercises to build strength and dexterity. Our program covers essential techniques for both rhythm and lead guitar, along with an introduction to music theory, scales, and fretboard navigation. Students will explore a variety of styles including rock, pop, blues, classical, and contemporary, with personalized guidance to match their learning pace and interests.
Fundamentals of posture, hand positioning, and picking techniques
Sight reading for standard notation and tablature
Understanding and navigating the fretboard with confidence
Open chords, barre chords, and chord progressions
Strumming patterns, fingerstyle, and hybrid picking
Smooth legato techniques – hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides
Scales, arpeggios, and improvisation skills
Playing in various genres: pop, rock, blues, jazz, and classical
Ear training and rhythmic precision
Ensemble playing and live performance preparation
Students will gain a strong foundation in guitar playing, including rhythm, melody, and basic improvisation.
They will understand the fundamentals of fretboard layout, chord progressions, note values, and timing.
The course aims to develop both technical skill and musical expression, preparing learners for further grades and advanced techniques.
Note: We also provide courses for intermediate and advanced levels up to Grade 8. Our curriculum includes graded training with ABRSM standards for students who wish to pursue formal certifications.
